On December 11, 2019 in the 25th session of the COP25, the meeting was held between Mr. Khomidjon Rasulzoda the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee of Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mr. Igor Shumakov the Head of Russian Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Roshydromet) of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation.
The meeting was initiated by the National Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Tajikistan. Mr. Homidjon Rasulzoda the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Republic of Tajikistan appealed to Mr. Igor Shumakov the Head of Russian Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Roshydromet) with a request to provide information and consulting support to the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Republic of Tajikistan on CLICOM project (system of climate data management), COSMO model, as well as issues related to the operation of meteorological stations operating on the network Roshydromet.
During the meeting, Mr. Homidjon Rasulzoda expressed interest in training and professional development of Tajik enrollees and specialists in Russian educational institutions.
In addition, the director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Republic of Tajikistan informed the head of Roshydromet of his intention to offer to organize the next session of the Interstate Council for Hydrometeorology of the CIS in 2021 in the Republic of Tajikistan.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Homidjon Rasulzoda and Mr. Igor Shumakov agreed to continue and strengthen bilateral cooperation between Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Republic of Tajikistan and Russian Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Roshydromet). The signing of the relevant document is scheduled for the first half of 2020.
