Objective of the project is to enhance institutional and technical building of three selected Jamoats of the Varzob region for effective regulation and adaptation to climate change.

Key project objectives

• Improvement of awareness on climate change information use and circulation among the local authorities;
• Capacity building of the local authorities and population for enhancement of adaptation measures to climate change;
• Improvement of the local population’s well-being.

Expected outcomes:

• Enhancement of adaptive and innovative capacities of the local population for sustainable development with regard to vulnerability to climate change;
• Capacity building of the stakeholders to generalizing, collection and circulation of the climate change information;
• Education and awareness rising in issues concerning climate change impacts; planning adequate adaptation at the local level.
