Dear compatriots!
This year on September 9, 2023 our republic celebrates an important historical date - the 32nd anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. Due to its significance, it is one of the most important events in the modern history of Tajiks. On September 9, 1991, the 12th extraordinary session of the Supreme Soviet of the Tajik SSR proclaimed the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. This document completely changed the way of society and the fate of the Tajik people. After a thousand years, the Tajiks regained their power. The birth of the new independent state of Tajikistan was greeted with great satisfaction by the international community.
Today, all the people of our free and prosperous country are proud that 32 years ago we laid the first bricks of our true independence and national statehood and, thanks to independence, acquired the state symbols - Flag, Coat of Arms and a new national Anthem.
At the beginning of state independence, fate gave the Tajik people a Leader who presented our nation and state on the world stage as a prosperous independent Tajikistan and put an end to the civil war. The head of the Tajik state is constantly making every effort to ensure a decent life for its citizens.
The founder of peace and national unity - the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon always in his speeches called Independence the greatest and most sacred achievement of the Tajik people and emphasized its importance in the life of the Tajik people.
Leading people, guarding the independence of the country like the apple of his eye, he calls independence a celebration of historical justice and a continuation of the millennia-old statehood of our ancestors and its connection with the new national statehood: "Independence has given us a historical opportunity to become the owners of our country. We must build, revive our national traditions and values, realize the age-old aspirations of our people and lead a free life for our people." Everyday efforts of the Leader of the Nation in the revival and development of independent Tajikistan, his unique activities on the world stage have made Emomali Rahmon the beloved Leader of the Nation and an outstanding world leader of the XXI century and a source of pride for every Tajik.
In the light of independence, under the leadership of the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, the atmosphere of peace, unity, creativity and constructiveness in the country will remain stable.
One of the main achievements of independence is that Tajikistan is recognized in the world as a peace-loving state. Tajikistan's peace experience has become a source of knowledge for peacemakers around the world, which is the pride of every Tajik.
Tajikistan is celebrating the 32nd anniversary of its independence in the complex conditions of ongoing globalization processes and a world full of contradictions. To protect the current generation from the negative factors of the globalization process, the public must develop healthy national thinking in the minds of young people, protect national values from new challenges and strengthen national unity. In this regard, I would like to note that the protection of State independence, peace and tranquility, and national values is a sacred duty of every noble citizen of the country.
Thanks to the support and constant care of the head of state, respected Emomali Rahmon, the works of improvement and creation are expanding throughout the country. Creation of dozens of jubilee objects, improvement of roads, revival of national handicrafts, putting new production enterprises into operation is an achievement of the time of sovereignty.
