The Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan annually conducts research, expeditions and aerial observations in the off-season to determine snow reserves and the state of glaciers in general.
It should be noted that the Agency for the implementation of the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Respected Emomali Rahmon, dedicated to "2025 - the International Year of Glacier Protection" and the implementation of the action plan of the "State Program for the Study and Protection of Glaciers of Tajikistan for 2010-2030" on September 26 this year on the glaciers of the Zerafshan River basin conducted aerial visual observations and scientific field work, during which industry experts, Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology Mr. Qurbonzoda A.H. and the Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. B.A. Sheralizoda took part.
Industry specialists conducted aerial visual observations to determine the current state of glaciers in the Zerafshan River basin, and conducted practical and research work in the glacier language using industry equipment.
