Congratulations from the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Qurbonzoda A.H. dedicated to the “Day of the State Language”

Dear colleagues and compatriots!

The national language is a vivid history of the spirituality of the world, wisdom and enlightenment of every people and nation.

It should be especially noted that in the cultural civilization of peoples, including us – Tajiks, the native language is a subset of national identity and the main factor in its preservation. Our native Tajik language, with a sweet, elegant and poetic sound, a language that has preserved the knowledge and enlightenment accumulated by the people over many millennia, is considered the most striking evidence of existence and its life-affirming status in the historical destiny of our country.

That is, the glorious Tajik nation presents its unusual history and culture to the world in its native language. The Tajik language, including the ancient languages of Khurosan and Movarounnahr, is the heir of the ancient Aryan languages. World-class scientists have recognized that in the history of human civilization, Tajiks, as an Aryan people, were considered one of the oldest nations with their native Tajik language, being one of the oldest languages on the planet, as evidenced by thousands of scientific studies.

Today's world recognizes and recognizes us by the name “Tajiks”, our state by the name “Tajikistan”, and our language by the name “Tajik language”. This language is spoken by hundreds and thousands of outstanding people and geniuses, leaving a legacy of unknown and indelible artifacts in the future.

The wisdom and morality of humanism, which are the essence of the heritage of our ancestors, have been published for centuries in the native noble Tajik language, where the cultural and spiritual wealth of our nation has conquered the world in its own language.

The works of Rudaki and Firdavsi, Attoru Sanoi, Saddivu Hafiz, Mavlono Balkhi, Mavlono Jami and hundreds of others, written many centuries ago, are today accessible, understandable, valuable and deeply revered by our people.

It should be especially noted that the focus of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Respected Emomali Rahmon, is always in the area of protection, respect and development of the Tajik language, where a lot has been done in this case. The Leader of the Nation on July 22, 2005, in his congratulatory message on the occasion of the sixteenth anniversary of “Language Day” - the supremacy of the status of the language and the preservation of its purity and inviolability from evidence of national pride, Motherland and patriotism, declared the Tajik language one of the highest national shrines, which is the most revered national language of the Tajik nation. In particular, the head of state noted in the Message of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan dated April 24, 2010: “For us, the most honorable place is that Tajiks are one of the peoples who make a great and worthy contribution to the creation of human civilization. Throughout their ancient history, Tajiks created a high culture and an eternal material and spiritual civilization, which the world recognizes and uses...”

Back on July 22, 1989, the Supreme Council of Soviet Tajikistan adopted and put into effect the “Law on the Language of the Republic of Tajikistan” No. 152. It should be noted that the law was developed and adopted during the period or days of the collapse of the superpower of the Soviet Union, depending on the conditions, within the framework of the political, social and cultural-legal requirements of the Soviet era. However, some of the provisions and norms of linguistic law, formulated in the past, over time, that is, after 20 years of its validity, could not fully satisfy the ever-increasing needs of the country's society in the era of sovereignty and independence.

In this regard, the need arose to develop and adopt a new language law for the preservation and development of our native Tajik language.

For this purpose, on October 5, 2009, the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the State Language of the Republic of Tajikistan” was ratified, and this date was officially declared “State Language Day” and included in the register of state and national holidays.

In turn, it is our duty and our human mission to love our native Tajik language with a sweet poetic sound, just like our mother, to respect and care for it, who gave birth to us, filling us with a bright love for the purity of the language and always honoring how the most valuable wealth of our life.

With great pride and devotion to the native Tajik language, I congratulate my dear colleagues and, in your person, the glorious people of Tajikistan on the occasion of “State Language Day” and wish each of you success and prosperity in your work to preserve and develop the state language.
