On 24 January of the current year, in accordance with the instructions and directives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, as well as within the framework of the ongoing initiatives of the Chairman of the National Council of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the city of Dushanbe, His Excellency Rustam Emomali, and in preparation for the ceremonial celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, landscaping and tree-planting activities were carried out at the Agency for Hydrometeorology under the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

From 13 to 16 January 2026, a training seminar on the installation and adaptation of the hazardous hydrometeorological alert system “Smartmet Alert” was held at the Agency for Hydrometeorology under the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The seminar was organized in cooperation with the Finnish Meteorological Institute within the framework of the “Fintaj” project.
