On July 25, 2025, a workshop on building technical capacity in the field of transparency (CBIT), an initiative of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), was held with the participation of representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the country. The seminar was organized on the initiative of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Representative Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Global Environment Facility.

On June 24, 2025, on the eve of the celebration of National Unity Day, a new building of the Navobod snow avalanche station was commissioned in the Navobod rural jamoat of Shugnan district. The activities of this station are aimed at ensuring the safety of highways and the public in winter, in order to prevent natural threats, in particular, heavy snowfalls and avalanches.

As part of the High-level International Conference on Glacier Conservation, on May 29, 2025, a bilateral meeting was held between the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology, Qurbonzoda A.H., and the Secretary General of the WMO, Professor Celeste Saulo. During the meeting, issues of strengthening human and technical potential, the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence, cryosphere monitoring, early warning, as well as regional initiatives, in particular, the creation of a Regional Glaciological Coordination Center in the city of Dushanbe, were discussed.

The event featured key leaders and sectoral experts from the Agency for Hydrometeorology, along with representatives from universities, academic institutions, and renowned international organizations.
