On 11-12 January 2024, the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) organized a training workshop on "Drought Determination on the basis of SPI program (precipitation indices)", which was attended by 18 sectoral specialists of the Agency (agrometeorology direction).
The workshop focused on the relevant issues of agrometeorological direction, while the specialists of the Agency's state networks were familiarized with the identification of crop water shortage based on hydrometeorological data and improved their theoretical and practical knowledge.
