On February 1-2 this year, a Regional Workshop on "Increasing Investments in early Warning Systems" was held in Bangkok, Thailand, during which representatives of the governing bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Agency of Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Committee Emergency situations and civil defense were represented the country.
During the Regional Workshop, the Head of the Department of International Relations of the Agency for hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Komron Ruziev, gave a presentation on "EWS Programming and Investment opportunities in Tajikistan".
It is important to note that early warning, i.e. the establishment of early action systems, can ensure the resilience of any country to reduce the damage caused by climate change and extreme weather events.
