Conducting training in accordance with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 2006) guidelines on reporting in the energy, agriculture, forestry, and other land use sectors.

On August 14–15, 2025, at the initiative of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in cooperation with the Representative Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Global Environment Facility, a training session was held on reporting in the energy, agriculture, forestry, and other land use sectors in accordance with the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change – 2006) Guidelines, with the participation of representatives from ministries, departments, universities, and relevant institutions of the country.

The aim of the event is to improve the technical knowledge and practical skills of national specialists in the field of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting in these sectors.

During the training, industry experts gave presentations and covered topics such as “Data sources and reporting parameters for national reporting in the energy, agriculture, and forestry sectors,” “Categories of emission sources in the energy, agriculture, and forestry sectors,” “Gender and gender sensitivity in climate reporting and in the development of national greenhouse gas inventories,” and other issues related to the impacts of climate change.

In addition, practical exercises provided participants with the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and experience in preparing national.
