On December 30, 2023, Chairman of the Environmental Protection Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Sheralizoda Bahodur Ahmadjon, with the participation of the leadership of the Agency for Hydrometeorology, visited the Hissar Agrometeorological Station and got acquainted with working conditions and maintenance, preparation for winter, repair and restoration works of buildings and structures, the progress of work in the field of observation and study of meteorological processes.
The Hissar agrometeorological station was built in 1968, where meteorological and agrometeorological observations are carried out manually, the results of which will be used in the development of agrometeorological forecasts, climate reference books and planning of the sowing process in the cities and districts of Tursunzade, Hissar, Shakhrinav, Rudaki and Vakhdat.
This station underwent major repairs in 2023 and is equipped with modern meteorological and agrometeorological instruments and equipment, household materials.
The Chairman of the Committee, B. A. Sheralizoda, was familiarized with meteorological and agrometeorological observation, the quality of construction work was thoroughly familiarized and specific instructions were given on reviving landscaping, planting fruit and shade trees and rational use of land.
At the same time, the Committee handed over computer equipment and seedlings of shade and ornamental trees for this station.
