On July 25, 2025, a workshop on building technical capacity in the field of transparency (CBIT), an initiative of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), was held with the participation of representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the country. The seminar was organized on the initiative of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Representative Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Global Environment Facility.
The seminar discussed the obligations of the Republic of Tajikistan in accordance with the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change ("BTR" — "BTR Biennial Transparency Report", "NDC" — "Nationally Determined Contribution", "MRV" — "Monitoring, reporting and Verification", "ETF" — "Strengthened transparency framework").
It is worth noting that the Transparency Capacity Building Initiative was established by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) to build institutional and technical capacity for reporting under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
