On November 11-12 of this year, the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted a meeting of the National Steering Committee for the Review and approval of the Biennial Transparency Report (BTR) with the participation of representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the Republic.
The event was organized on the initiative of the Agency for Hydrometeorology in cooperation with the Representative Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Global Environment Facility.
During the two-day meeting, issues related to the draft of the second Biennial Transparency Report (BTR) were reviewed and agreed upon, including sections of the greenhouse gas emissions inventory report, achievements in implementing Nationally Defined Contributions, adaptation measures, and support needs.
It should be noted that this event helps to strengthen interagency coordination on transparency issues, as well as clarify the plans and responsibilities of relevant structures in the process of preparing and updating data for the Biennial Transparency Report and subsequent reporting periods.
