On 24 June 2026, the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan held a ceremonial meeting under the theme “National Unity the Solid Foundation of the State!”, dedicated to the 29th Anniversary of National Unity Day, with the participation of the Agency’s leadership and a wide range of its employees.
At the beginning of the event, the Deputy Director of the Agency, Abdullozoda Umarali Saydullo, delivered a welcoming address and conveyed to the audience a congratulatory message from the Director of the Agency, Qurbonzoda Abdullo Habibullo. In his speech, he emphasized that National Unity is the greatest and most sacred achievement of our people during the period of the country's state independence and has played a tremendous role in consolidating the nation and strengthening statehood.
Abdullozoda Umarali Saydullo particularly emphasized the historical significance of the signing of the most important landmark document in the modern history of Tajik statehood, the General Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and National Accord. The agreement was signed on 27 June 1997 following lengthy negotiations, thanks to the initiative and direct efforts of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon. The signing of this agreement was aimed at preserving the country's territorial integrity and ensuring peace and stability throughout the republic.
During the ceremonial meeting, Agency employees delivered presentations on the significance and historical role of National Unity in strengthening national statehood, ensuring peace and stability, and promoting the sustainable development of the Republic of Tajikistan. It was noted that, thanks to National Unity and the wise policies of the country's top leadership, Tajikistan has today achieved significant progress in all spheres of socio-economic life and created favorable conditions for the further development of the state and the improvement of the people's well-being.
At the conclusion of the event, participants of the meeting and the entire people of Tajikistan were extended wishes for everlasting peace and stability, enduring unity, prosperity, outstanding achievements, and continued success in the cause of the further development and flourishing of the beloved Motherland.
