On May 16-17, 2023 the 5th Central Asian Conference on Climate Change was held in Dushanbe. It was organized by the Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia (CAREC) under the projects "Adaptation and Mitigation of Climate Change in the Aral Sea Basin" (CAMP4ASB AF), "Central Asian Dialogue on Promoting Intersectoral Finance Based on the Water-Energy-Food Nexus" (Nexus) together with the Committee for Environmental Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan, PROGREEN, and "Water and Energy-Food Nexus". (Nexus) jointly with the Committee for Environmental Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan, PROGREEN and "Water and Energy Program for Central Asia" (CAWEP), representing a partnership between the World Bank, the European Union, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

15 мая входит в календарь экологических дат как «День климата». Действительно, тема изменения климата стала сегодня одним из главных тем нашей жизни, который, в свою очередь в основном, оказывает негативное влияние на маловодье в регионах, загрязнение атмосферного воздуха, прирост стихийных бедствий, снижение продуктивности сельского хозяйства, и тем самым, снижая уровень эконимического развития всех стран мира. Также, «глобальное изменение климата», в настоящее время, считается одной из экологических проблем человечества. Республика Таджикистан уязвима перед стихийными бедствиями и является одной из стран, где изменение климата особенно разрушительно. Среди уже наблюдаемых и возможных последствий изменения климата в Таджикистане – нарушение режима выпадения осадков, повышение температуры воздуха, уменьшение площади ледников и опасные погодные явления. Многолетние наблюдения за погодой свидетельствуют об увеличении числа жарких дней, уменьшении числа холодных дней, о значительных изменениях количества и продолжительности осадков.

On May 3, 2023, a scientific and theoretical conference was held at the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the Sino region of Dushanbe on the topic “Tajikistan is the world-class initiator for the protection of glaciers”, during which was attended by representatives of ministries and departments of the republic.

The final meeting of the first quarter of 2023 was held on April 7 at the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The meeting was attended by Isfandiyor Shukurov, Head of the Department for Monitoring of Environmental Policy, Cadaster and Hydrometeorology, Validjon Kurbonov, Head of the Hydrometeorology Sector of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of Tajikistan, and all heads of structural subdivisions of the Agency.

29 марта в Технологическом университете Таджикистана имени академика М.С.Осими, посвященная «2025 – Международному году защиты ледников» и «21 марта – Международному дню защиты ледников», состоялась научно-теоретическая конференция на тему «Вклад Лидера Нации в Глобальную инициативу по защите ледников», в ходе которой приняли участие отраслевые специалисты Агентства по гидрометеорологии Комитета охраны окружающей среды при Правительстве Республики Таджикистан .
